Superman soars under St. Louis Arch on Independence Day 2025
July 2025 – Fantasy Drone Shows teamed up with Warner Bros. and Celebrate Saint Louis to present the event's first ever drone show promoting the 'Superman' 2025 movie release on July 11.
It's a bird, it's a plane, it's a drone show! Thousands of spectators in St. Louis, Missouri witnessed a display of 400 drones – beautifully framed by the Gateway Arch – promoting the release of 2025 film Superman, which hits theaters July 11th.
Fantasy Drone Shows teamed up with Warner Bros. and Celebrate Saint Louis to present the event's first ever drone show, which depicted a series of fan-favorite imagery including the DC Comics logo, the Daily Planet globe, Krypto the dog, and the Man of Steel himself.
The collaboration turned out to be "a big highlight" for Fantasy Drone Shows, according to their East division manager Zac Phillips. "We are very grateful for the ability to work with Warner Bros. Not many companies have been able to collaborate with such a well-known name in entertainment, and put on an amazing show framed by the St. Louis Arch. It is absolutely an amazing opportunity and we're extremely grateful to be a part of this."
Recognizing the show's potential early on, Fantasy Drones partnered up with Nite Brite, another drone show provider, to provide an additional 100 drones from their fleet and assist with on-the-ground operations so Superman could fly high without a hitch. Both companies use the Verge Aero drone show system to power their drone displays.
The drone sequences concluded just before the city's annual Independence Day fireworks display, also organized by Celebrate Saint Louis, launched above the Mississippi River.
